On the Nose: Dusty Rose petals, red berry fruit, provincial herb and spice… head spinning!
On the palate: red and black berry fruit laced with spice and liquorice. The brambly Zin is bright and punchy but taken dark and twisted by the Mourvedre to spin the plot. Dark Brooding fruit dancing with soft tannins that trail into sexy creamy toasty oak finish that lingers on the lips like a kiss.
This wine is seductive but should be laid down for a year. It will drink well and age for 8-10 years. It pairs perfectly with all things lamb and other grilled or stewed gamey meats in rich sauces.
